Yes, also in Varna, Bourgzs, Plovdiv and Borovets, I believe, if they have not already taken place; however, until there is a deal, or no deal as the case maybe, there is really no new information that the Ambassador can give, but these meetings are useful question and answer sessions. The Ambassador will repeat the meetings at the beginning of next year by which time we will know if it is deal or no deal, and relevant information will be available

Does anyone actually know where the details of these meetings are published?

I have never seen anything for Varna.

How about if I'm a burqa-wearer? Cool

You can register for the Sofia "happening" (for those of us of a certain age Wink ) here: http://tinyurl.com/yamq7uvt

Thanks for that info Chris, however,

1.The link for the Varna meeting ( https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/meeting-with-the-british-community-in-varna-and-the-region-tickets-52483687121 )does not contain any method of registering.

2. The link 'View Map' on this page show the town of Slivnitsa, not Slivnitsa Boulevard in Varna.

Does anyone have any idea how to register?

And, yes I appreciate it is today as I write this, however I should still be able to register.

It does actually say that sales have ended, which I can understand as the meeting is today
Judging by the event in Veliko Tarnovo I don't think prior registration is strictly enforced but I could be wrong on this occasion.
If you are willing to take a chance simply go slong, making sure that you take your ID
with you in case you are asked for it, and be prepared to explain that you tried to register at the last moment but couldn't.
Registration is outsourced to Evenbrite and provides an idea of numbers attending as well as screening to ensure that only those who are entitled to attend are there so take your passport and Bulgarian residency visa if you have one.
I will let the Embassy know about the mistake on the Google Map and they can inform Evenbrite - too late for today but hopefully will prevent such mistakes in the future

Thanks Chris, I had intended to do that, however, other things intruded on my intentions. With the ice and snow I guessed I could get down the hill easily, but may have had problems driving back up it, and as I cannot walk far I decided to stay home in the warm.

If anyone did go a brief summary of the meeting would help.

There is a distinct possibility that the meeting didn't take place because of the weather, but if it did and anyone attended an update would be appreciated, as Trev has said, although as we still don't know if there will be a deal or not, I doubt the Ambassador could add anything to what was said in Veliko Tarnovo

The Yambol meeting was useful but in view of last nights 'set back' in the House of Commons no definate new information. But some good generic info regarding residency, driving licences, healthcare etc. The refreshments were spot on and the REAL mince pies were in a class of their own. The was to Brexit is through a mans stomach. Cool
